WordPress Version 3.9.1 Guideline

Now I am sharing you WordPress installation guideline. It is a complete article which helps you briefly to install WordPress CMS. I have divided this article into 12 different steps. Moreover, I have provided complete screenshots which will help you for good understanding for WordPress Installation.

Step 1:

Download latest version of WordPress from https://wordpress.org/download/. You can see “Download WordPress 3.9.1” on right side in the Zip format. Remember WordPress release new version with new changes and provides updates from time to time.

Step 2:

After clicking on “Download WordPress 3.9.1” button, downloading will start. After completing the downloading of WordPress, you can start the installation of WordPress in your computer or hosting account.

Now extract the WordPress downloaded compressed file and place extracted folder in local directory (apache server directory “htdocs”, xampp package directory “htdocs” folder, wamp package directory “www” or where from you can access localhost).

Step 3:

If wp-config.php file not found in the root directory than it need to create a Configuration File. To create a Configuration file manually, click on “Create a Configuration File”.

Step 4:

Welcome to WordPress step 4 for database information requirement. Before getting started, WordPress need some information on the database. In database requirement, WordPress require five items of information before proceeding

1. Database name

2. Database username

3. Database password

4. Database hostname

5. Table prefix (if you want to run more than one WordPress in a single database)

Step 5:

Now you have to create an empty database. For this purpose, you have to go to PhpMyAdmin (“http://localhost/phpmyadmin”) and create a database.

Step 6:

In the step 6, add database related information including database name, username, password, hostname, and table prefix. Table Prefix means what prefix you want to add before table name i.e. wp_users, blog_users etc. Moreover, if you want to run more than one WordPress in a single database than Table prefix will help you to manage all sites’ database easily.

Step 7:

Now you have made it through this part of the installation. WordPress is ready to communicate with your database. You can run the database and WordPress Installation.

Step 8:

In this step, WordPress has been installed. After one step you can finally complete the WordPress installation.

Step 9:

Little Information needed related to WordPress Site. Remember, you can change/modify this information after completing the WordPress processes. WordPress provides very good and powerful CMS admin panel which help you to apply and add new theme, plugins, widgets, cms setting, post, menu, categories, appearances etc.

Step 10:

Your account is ready to use. Add username and password which you have provided in Step 9. After successful login you can go step 11.

Step 11:

Welcome to WordPress. You can view WordPress CMS Panel. As we told you in Step 9 that WordPress is a very power CMS and provides very good admin panel. You have variety of modules in this panel including Dashboard, Post, Media, Pages, Comments, Appearance, Plugins, Users, Tools, Settings.
